Assistant Professor of Computer Science/Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science

At least in one of the following disciplines with the Department of Computer Science:
Computer Systems (Operating Systems, Computer Architecture)
Informatics (including Information and Network Security and Integration)
Multimedia Systems (including Computer Game Theory and Development)
Networking and Communications (including Web Development and Internet Technology)
Software and Process Engineering

Effective date:

August or January 2009

Qualifications:

Required qualifications include: an earned Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field; a strong record of research in computer science that can support the teaching and research missions of the Department; excellent communications skills; a record of experience in the computing industry; a strong interest working with students and collaborating with the community and industry. Must be eligible for employment in the United States. Appreciation of diverse cultures and peoples is essential.

Duties/Special Duties:

The successful candidate will be expected to teach; carry out a program of research and publication in the discipline; and participate in department and university service.
