African Student Organization

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    Our mission is to provide easy integration of incoming students into the University community in conjuction with the IPFW student's affairs and various departments through education all people about the diversity in the Africa culture and include everyone in this learning process.

  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Fifty-one perce of the total membership must be currently enrolled students at IPFW and only those members may vote, hold office and represent the organization/university in an official capacity.

Anime 101

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To promote interest in Japanese Animation, provide safe and fun events and activities for members and community and to encourage personal growth and pursuit of various hobbies.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Membership is open to all IPFW students and non-students. One-half membership may consist of non-students.

    Weekly meetings, “All-day Anime”. Trips to conventions (C-kon, Ohayo-con, and Pentacon), Possible co-sponsored event, “Hug a Geek Day”

ASL Pah! Club

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To promote American sign language and culture in a positive way on the IPFW campus and to give IPFW students who are studying ASL an opportunity to use and improve their beginning skills and learn more about deaf culture.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Membership is open to IPFW students and members of the community. In order to become voting members or hold office the member must be an IPFW students currently enrolled in at least one credit hour and pay dues each semester. $1.00 per semester dues.

    It's a Deaf, Deaf World, field trips, lectures, community service, social events with the deaf community.

Bangladesh Students Association

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To provide academic, social, and cultural support to the Bangladeshi students and to cultivate a spirit of unity and friendship between Bangladeshi and all other students at IPFW.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Open to all IPFW and other colleges and universities students and may include a limited number of non-student not to exceed 1/3 of the total membership unless granted by simple majority vote of the voting membership.

Black Collegian Caucus

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    Explore the heritage and culture of African-Americans as a means of clarifying our self-image and enhancing self esteem, draw knowledge and strength from this history, and celebrate the lives and contributions of our people. Our objective is to contribute to the quality of life of black students and to acquaint all people with African Heritage.

    Membership is open to any student at IPFW interested in our club. Attend meetings, uphold constitution, participating in meetings, maintaining a non-discriminatory policy. Dues: Regular members $5.00 Associate members $6.00

Bosnia and Herzegovina Student Association

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    Bonding: To form friendly relationships between Bosnian IPFW students, Bosnian students from other universities, and the Local Bosnian community. 2. Honoring: To cultivate a spirit of unity and friendship between Bosnian and all other students at IPFW through academic social, and cultural activities, while honoring and respecting the individual differences, cultures and traditions.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Minimum membership requirement is 8. Membership fee is $10.00 per semester. Membership in this organization shall be open to all IPFW students and may include a limited number of non-IPFW students and non-students. 50% of total membership must be IPFW students. Members may be expelled for unbecoming conduct and for violations of the student code of conduct.

Campus Hope

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To bring hope and healing to the student facing an unplanned pregnancy. To communicate an accurate message on the advantages of healthy relationships, provide assistance in accessing single-parent scholarships, and act as a referral to community resources.

Campus Libertarians

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To educate people about the philosophy of libertarianism.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Minimum of 8 members, 51% of members must be enrolled at IPFW, membership is free from descrimination, no financial obligations, no oath to libertarianism, voting membership given only to currently enrolled students, certain other types of membership possible.

Campus Scouts

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To provide students of IPFW a means of identifying with the Girl Scout and Boy Scout movements, and opportunities through fellowship for service within the Girl Scout and Boy Scout community.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    All members must provide a current email address and attend at least one meeting or event a semester to be considered "active" in the organization.

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    Circle K International is for college and university students who are responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to community service worldwide.

    Members are responsible for paying any dues set by the district and international sectors unless a contribution is made from Kiwanis or the club.

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To make known and promote the principles of the Republican Party. To aid in the election of Republican official. To encourage and assist in the organization and functioning of the Republican Party. To develop political skills and leadership abilities. To prepare for the future.

    Shall be open to all IPFW students and a limited number of non-students. 51% of total membership must be enrolled as students.

Common Difference

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To promote diversity on campus; to facilitate dialogue; to bring awareness of campus cultures; to unify the IPFW campus; and to promote acceptance and not just tolerance of others.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    The organization is open to all students and no dues are required. The only "agreement" to be a member is to be respectful of others regardless of personal beliefs or opinions. "The only thing we have in common is that we are all different." Members/officers can be expelled for violent or negatively aggressive behaviors towards other members.

    To show school spirit, promote sisterhood and enjoy the art of dance.

    Members are obligated to come to practice, be involved in organization and be dedicated to the team.

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity, and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice.

    Members must pay a semester due of $65, attend chapter events, and maintain a GPA of 2.0 as a business major.

(F.I.L.M.) Foundation of IPFW's Leading Moviemakers

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To provide an opportunity for students, faculty, and guests to learn all aspects of videography and filography. Develop, execute, and distribute high quality videos/film capable of submission. Use video to interact with the community.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    All students can be members. Non-students may also be members. Dues are expected of all members at $10/semester. Members are expected to attend regular meetings, one per month. the dates of these meetings are announced beforehand. Any member that cannot attend must get permission from the president. Two absences=probation, more absences=expulsion. Any unbecoming behavior is subject to expulsion procedures.

Hispanos Unidos

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To provide a support group and social activities for hispanic students. As well as any students that would like to get involved. To promote awareness of the Hispanic culture at IPFW and Fort Wayne.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Students enrolled in at least one credit hour at IPFW and are interested in Latino culture are encouraged to join. Knowledge and fluency in Spanish is not required to join. Membership dues are $5/semester per students and $10 for non students. Participate and attend all meetings and annual events.

To provide gaming opportunities to both campus students and members of the community with a special emphasis on "Magic: The Gathering."

Student Affairs Today and Tomorrow

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To create relationships between students and professionals, promote ethical standards that lead to a multicultural campus, explore opportunities in the field, participate in national organizations, and learn about graduate schools.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Members must contact the president within 24 hours of a meeting if he/she cannot attend. Excused absences include work, class, doctor appointments, and emergencies, Members missing two consecutive unexcused meetings will be placed on probation. Members may be expelled for unbecoming conduct or violations of the student code of conduct. The member will be notified 7 days before the vote. A majority vote by secret ballet constitutes expulsion.

Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT)

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To encourage more involvement of the student Athlete population on campus events and community projects; to design and provide programs which will encourage academic achievement, mental, physical and healthy choices and general awareness.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Membership does not require any financial obligation. Members are recommended by their head coach (2 per team) and are active for one year unless recommended again (the next year.) Expulsion is based on conduct unbecoming and violations of the student code of conduct.

Students For Life

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:

    Work to save lives threatened by induced abortion, euthanasia and destruction of human embryos for research. Promote respect for life at IPFW on a local, state and national level.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Official members must try to come to one meeting a semester if no classes at meeting times. No dues, no real induction. Expulsion from group if fail to miss three meetings without informing the executive committee.

    To promote feminist throught and support for discussion of feminist issues. To provide a safe environment for exchange and activism.
