Areas of Interest:

Poverty and world hunger, and how these two situations are affected by government policies and various groups of the population.

Thesis Topic:

A new food bank model emphasizing nutrition over "full bellies"

Why I am in the Program:

I am a very political person and understand full well the impact that government policies have on the poor and middle classes. I hope to be an applied sociologist who can effectively communicate findings which will be used in determination of legislation.
