Department of Political Science


Our department’s faculty cover all areas of political science and have won awards for teaching, advising, and research. We challenge students to develop their critical thinking, reasoning, communication, writing, and quantitative skills.  We offer a wide variety of classes and all of our classes have a small teacher-to-student ratio.  

 Student Opportunities

 The IPFW Political Science faculty provide students with many extra-curricular opportunities such as Model UN, participation in many state/national conferences, Certificate in Civic Education & Public Advocacy, American Democracy Project panels, and Pre-Law advising.

Our Graduates

 Two recent graduates received Fulbright Awards & another graduate was selected as a fellow for the highly selective & prestigious Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. We count judges, law school deans, vice-presidents of investment firms, CPAs, Peace Corps officers, bio-medical sales-managers, distillery owners, and Washington think tank researchers among our graduates.
