Nursing Event Showcases Scholarly Work of Students, Faculty

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) is hosting a nursing spectacular November 22 in Walb Student Union from 8 a.m. to noon. The event will showcase the scholarly work of students and faculty in the nursing department as well as provide networking opportunities for students.

The day will start at 8:45 a.m. with a welcome from nursing department Chair Lee-Ellen Kirkhorn and poster sessions in the Walb Union Classic Ballroom, Room 126. These presentations will be given by nursing students enrolled at IPFW.

Starting at 9 a.m., there will be four keynote presentations:

  • "Perinatal Hospice," Kathryn Bergoff, IPPNS; Patience Doctor, IPPNS; and Michelle Landrigan, IPPNS
  • "Forensic Nursing," Leslie Cook, RN, MDI, SANE-A, SANE-P
  • "Oncology Nursing," Shelley Ramsey, R"Critical Care Nursing," Susan Eiteljorge, RN

All of these presentations will be given in the Walb International Ballroom, Room 149-150.

Following the keynote speakers, students enrolled in nursing graduate programs will lead round table discussions. The day will end with breakout sessions.
