The Blog Days of Summer

(Fort Wayne, May 7, 2008) -- Summer is here for most Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) students, but for five student bloggers, the show will go on. The five storytellers will continue to share their thoughts over the summer with incoming and current students as well as any interested readers at blogs.targetx.com/ipfw.

The five IPFW students, ranging in majors, genders, graduation years, and opinions, have been blogging since February. Their blogs, which are sponsored by Admissions, cover a spectrum of topics from politics and choosing a university to gas prices and spring break. One blogger will graduate May 14, and will continue to blog into the first semester of his graduate school. Another blogger will travel to Washington D.C. for the summer and share his adventures while taking a break from school. Others will take on summer jobs or simply relax. Through it all, the blogging will go on.

"Our blogs give future students insight into what college life is all about," said Director of Admissions Carol Isaacs. "They can read about the ups and downs of college and their lives in general. Because our bloggers will continue writing over the summer, readers can see how college students and graduates spend their time off from school and follow them as they prepare for the fall semester."

To visit the blogs, go to blogs.targetx.com/ipfw. For more information, contact Maria Herrera, Admissions assistant director, at 260-481-6148 or herreram@ipfw.edu.
