Instructions

Nomination Instructions

  • Part-time and full-time students are eligible for nomination
  • All entries on the application must have occurred within the past five calendar years
  • All application entries must have occurred after enrollment at IPFW. Entries from high school will not be considered.
  • You may include “Dean’s List” only if there is more than a GPA component to being on your school’s Dean’s List. Be sure to indicate what that component is because all Top 50 students will have at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Be concise, but provide all pertinent information related to the activity. Put in more information about the specifics of what you are doing for each entry, not just the title.
  • Do not include the same activity in more than one category
  • Do not list any personal experience or activity as “Scholastic Achievement, Collegiate Activities, or Service Learning” that cannot be verified upon request. Any information that cannot be verified will not be considered. If information provided is found to be inaccurate, the nomination will be considered invalid and will not be sent to the judges.
  • Do not use abbreviations for names or organizations
  • A personal statement is required. This statement should be no more than 500 words and should address why you believe you should be considered an IPFW Top 50 student. Do not list the accomplishments you’ve already put in the application. Rather, share why you are a unique individual. This is your chance to share with the judges any personal successes you’d like them to know when considering your application.
  • A letter of recommendation is required. Please note that only IPFW faculty and staff can write letters on behalf of the student. Only one letter may be submitted per student.
  • All complete applications will be reviewed by at least three individuals for rating purposes. Note that all information provided on the application will be disclosed to the selectors.

  • January 9, 2017 — Nominations begin
  • February 17, 2017 - NOMINATION DEADLINE
  • March 1, 2017 — Deadline for students to accept nomination and have all material returned** Note change
  • March 29, 2017 - Tickets go on sale to public
  • April 4 & 5, 2017 - Headshots completed 
  • April 19, 2017 - RSVP's due for Top 50 Dinner
  • April 22, 2017 - Top 50 Awards Dinner
