Insight Youth Corps
- Insight = Indiana’s Network of Students Inspiring Good Health Today
- Collaboration with Indiana State Dept of Health, developed out of InShape Indiana, Governor Mitch Daniels statewide health initiative
- Pilot will include a minimum of 20 Indiana high schools (6 in NEI-AHEC counties) for 2006-07 school year
- High school students are trained as mentors and leaders to become health advocates in their schools and community
PROMISE (Partners Recruiting Opportunities for Minority Student Education)
- Five Year Collaboration with Indiana State Department of Health Office of Minority Health (SOMH), the Indiana Area Health Education Center (IN-AHEC), the Indiana Minority Health Coalition (IMHC), as well as other state and regional partners.
- Expose ninth grade students to opportunities in health careers and track their progress toward career choices (specifically for those who choose health careers) through college
Health Careers Summer Day Camp
- Collaboration with IFPW School of Health Sciences and Parkview Health Systems
- Four day intensive and interactive learning environment at IPFW
and Parkview hospitals provided comprehensive information on
health careers

Community Collaborations & Partnerships
- Allen County Health Disparity Coalition (ACHDC)
- IPFW NEI-AHEC is a member with 50+ organizations addressing health disparity issues in Allen County
- Prevention Clinic is ACHDC Program, providing free and low cost health screenings on Third Wednesdays, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Lafayette Medical Center
- IPFW NEI-AHEC provides space for Prevention Clinic
- Member of Coordinating Committee with HealthVisions of Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne African American Cancer Alliance (FWAACA), and Dr. Jeff Towles Health Initiative
