Stafford Loan Entrance Interview
All first time loan borrowers are required by federal law to complete a Stafford Loan Entrance Interview. This is a loan counseling opportunity for you to learn the terms and conditions of your student loans.

After you complete the session, they will collect your information and notify us that this requirement is met.
Please note the following:
- You may choose to complete the entrance interview online with your own lender, but the IPFW Financial aid office will not be notified unless you print and carry in the proof.
Perkins Loan Entrance Interview
All first time loan borrowers are required by federal law to complete a Perkins Loan Entrance Interview. This is a loan counseling opportunity for you to learn the terms and conditions of your student loans. After you accept a Perkins loan, you will be receiving an email, at your ipfw.edu address, explaining what further steps you need to take to receive the loan. In the email will be instructions telling you how to complete an online loan counseling session, and how to sign your promissory note. The first notifications for the 2009-10 academic year will be sent mid July. After you complete the session, they will collect your information and notify us that this requirement is met. If you respond promptly to this email, there is plenty of time to complete the process before refunds are calculated and paid in August.
