Who Qualifies?

  • Applicant must be an undergraduate OL major.
  • Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 overall and a GPA of 3.2 in OL courses.
  • Applicant must have successfully completed 60 hours (21 hours in OL courses) toward a degree in OL.
  • Applicant must register for at least 6 credit hours in the fall semester following the award of the scholarship.
  • Applicant must not be involved with a fully-funded tuition refund program. However, applicant may be receiving other financial aid.
  • Applicant must complete the Swinehart Scholarship Application form.
  • Applicant must complete the IPFW Common Scholarship Application form

Important Dates

  • Mark your calendar! The Swinehart Application is typically due each year in early March. To apply, students need to complete the Swinehart Scholarship Application form (also available in Neff 288) and submit by the date indicated on the form.

What Does the Scholarship Cover?

  • Award is merit based; only one scholarship is awarded each year.
  • This $500 scholarship will be applied toward tuition fees.
