Attendance

Because of the sequenced, experiential learning process used in all dental hygiene courses, class attendance is essential and mandatory. Some evening and weekend events are required each semester. Students are required to complete the following courses in sequence as full-time students:

You may retake any course. Unless the course is described in the Bulletin in which you were accepted or its supplement as repeatable for credit, credit will be given only once for a repeated course, and only the most recent grade earned will be incorporated into graduation GPA calculations.

The grading percentages in the Dental Education department are more difficult than other university departments due to the skills & responsibilities required for employment in the healthcare field. Grading Scale: 
100 – 94 = A
93 – 88 = B
87 – 80 = C
79 – 75 = D
74 and below = F
