Prerequisite and Preferred Admission Courses
All prerequisite courses must be completed by JUNE 1 with a grade of C or better.
Prerequisite Courses beginning for the class starting fall 2009:
- BIOL 203 — Anatomy & Physiology I (4 cr. hrs.)
- BIOL 204 — Anatomy & Physiology II (4 cr. hrs.)
- COM 114 — Fundamentals of Speech Communication (3 cr. hrs.)
- ENG W131 — Elementary Composition I (3 cr. hrs.)
- NUR 106 — Medical Terminology (3 cr. hrs.)
- PSY 120 — Elementary Psychology (3 cr. hrs.)
- DAST A122 — Introduction to Dentistry (1 cr. hr.)
Because the Dental Education is working toward a proposed baccalaureate degree in dental sciences, the program also highly recommends the following general education area courses that apply to any BS degree:
- CHM 111 - General Chemistry
- OLS 252 - Human Relations in Organizations
- PHIL 312 - Medical Ethics
- STAT 120 - Communicating with Statistics
