Information for Faculty and Staff
Apparel Rental Information
The IPFW Bookstore will be taking faculty and staff orders for rental apparel February 18 through March 21. Orders placed after March 21 will be charged a late fee of $5 which must be paid by the individual placing the order. Academic Ceremonies will pay for the rental of caps and gowns. Faculty and staff are responsible for their own hood rental (some departments will pay for hood rental from their S&E accounts).
Rental prices for hoods are:
- Doctoral hood $21.00 ($22.26 with tax)
- Master's hood $18.00 ($19.08 with tax)
- Bachelor's hood $17.00 ($18.02 with tax)
If you own your hood and are renting only the cap and gown, you may phone in your order to Folletts. Black tassels will be supplied to faculty and staff with less than a doctoral degree; old gold tassels will be supplied for faculty and staff with doctoral degrees. If you want your discipline color, you may purchase a tassel through the bookstore.
The rental apparel may be claimed at the Bookstore during the week prior to Commencement. Bookstore personnel will collect rented apparel after Commencement in the robing area at the Coliseum.
In order to have the appropriate number of faculty/staff chairs, and for you to receive your complimentary parking pass, you must let the Academic Ceremonies office know you will be attending the ceremony no later than Friday, March 28. Complete and return the rsvp form included in the February mailing or email messmann@ipfw.edu and let us know you are planning to attend.
Parking passes and further instructions concerning Commencement will be mailed to you the first full week in May.
