General Course Information
As a Collegiate Connection student, you may take any IPFW course that is appropriate for a first-year college student. The courses listed on this website are suggested courses. For other courses (i.e., upper-level science, math, foreign languages, etc.) please consult the IPFW Bulletin.
First Year Experience (FYE) Learning Communities
IPFW offers First Year Experience (FYE) Learning Communities (LC). LCs are linked or paired courses. By linking the courses, you make connections to other students, faculty, and staff. The more connections you make to IPFW, the more likely you are to succeed.
Music Courses/Ensembles
Students interested in participating in vocal or instrumental music ensembles must audition and receive instructor permission. Private lessons are not available for credit. Visit the Department of Music or call 260-481-6714 for more information.
Honors Program
Be sure to check out IPFW’s Honors Program, which teams the very best teachers with exceptional students. The emphasis is on experiential learning, classroom participation, and individuality. At IPFW, the advantages include classes with limited enrollment and use of the Honors Center. To participate in Honors courses, you must meet one of the following criteria: rank in the upper 10 percent of their high school class; have 650 writing, critical thinking, or mathematics score on the SAT; or total SAT scores of 1,800 or better or a composite ACT score of 27 or better. For more information about the Honors Program, call 260-481-6924.
