Overview

The Collegiate Connection program lets you try out the college experience at northeast Indiana's premier university, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). Earn college credit while you are still in high school. Classes begin August 24, but registration starts March 30. To register for a class that will fit your high school schedule, you should begin the application process right away. If you previously completed an IPFW application form to participate in the Collegiate Connection program, you don't need to complete a new one.

IPFW Offers the Largest Variety of Academic Programs in Northeast Indiana

You can take a class in almost any area you're interested in, from the History of Rock 'n Roll to Analytic Geometry and Calculus.

IPFW also offers you free academic help. As a Collegiate Connection student, you receive:

  • access to all IU libraries.
  • access to a reference librarian to assist with research.
  • career counseling services.
  • computer software classes.
  • Internet account and computer labs.
  • help with reading and study skills.
  • two hours of tutoring per class per week. (one-on-one, drop-in, or math online)
  • writing assistance.

You also receive lots of other freebies:

  • access to Gates Sports Center with fitness and conditioning equipment, indoor track, basketball, volleyball, and wallyball courts.
  • admission to all IPFW music, theatre, and fine arts events.
  • discounts at various businesses with your Official University ID.
  • discounts for Rave Motion Pictures tickets.
  • access to over 100 student organizations and clubs.
  • admission to all athletics home games, including those at the Coliseum.
  • access to hundreds of campus events, from comedians and cookouts, to distinguished lecturers.

Being a Collegiate Connection student means you can:

  • earn dual credit — university and high school.
  • take more advanced courses or courses not offered at the high school level.
  • earn accredited transferable university credit.
  • explore a career direction.
  • experience college.
